UPDATE 19-07-2020
Hey everyone,
So just letting you know where I am. At this point in time, I'm nearly finished with Zenyaku chapter 5. Which will be it's last. I'll be glad to have this finished. I've been on this project for 8 years.
I'll have to admit, it hasn't been a good experience doing this project. I got really frustrated with it, there were a number of times (Including just a couple of weeks ago) I wanted to toss the whole thing aside. At the start I thought this should be easy, I'll fly through this no problem, but after the first chapter I had a reality check. I'll always hate the first chapter, it gave me great dis-satisfaction after I completed it. However, it made me want to work harder, it also got me going to life drawing classes, use, reference, put more attention to my art. The project then turned into a chore, there just wasn't any fun anymore doing it, I was being very critical with it. Some parts I had to re-draw. Maybe I was being too negative/too hard on myself with it.
There was some positives that came out of this, my art does look better and tighter, I've also gained a bit more speed. Plus it's better to finish off a project. If I quit on this project, would I quit on other projects down the track, gaining a bad habit? I probably would have. I'd rather complete this than let it become another unfinished Australian comic/manga. And believe me, they're so many unfinished Oz comics...
So after this is done and dusted, I'll be pulling out a small short comic just for the sake of fun and comedy.
I'll also try to plan a comic book launch somewhere in Brisbane. I gotta have a party after this. I haven't organised anything just yet, I'm just going to finish this off first before anything.
So anyway, are you doing alright, despite all the chaos going on?

Update 09-04-2020
Just letting you all know that I'm going to be working on Zenyaku chapter 5, which will be it's last. In the wake of the comic collapse, I've had the urge to work on this hard. I've volunteered to take some time off work without pay, so I've been using all the time to finish this series off. I still have copies available of chapter 1 - 4 if you're interested, click on the link to the facebook page and hit me up there (Prices are on the facebook page: [link]).
So why still upload it on Deviantart though? Well, it was mainly for critique, to see where I can improve. I didn't really get that critique though, so I had to look hard at it and critique myself. It made me take making comics more seriously and want to improve. I used to always question myself if I should re-illustrate the first chapter, but I've decided not to. It would be re-writing history.
Will it be collected into trade? Possibly. But that's still far away. Will there be a launch party? With how things are going, I don't know. If there will be it'll be really late in the year
The next project I'll be working on however (Cronulla Security), I'll only be uploading a couple of pages as a preview. Sorry, but this one will be physical only.

Update 05-05-2019
Just letting you know I'm working full steam with Zenyaku chapter 4 at the moment. I've promised myself that I'll have Zenyaku finished by the end of the year (Yes, even the fifth and final chapter). There have been a number of times I've thought of quitting on it altogether but if I did, it'll feel like all that work and effort I've put into it both art-wise and promotion, it would've gone to nothing. The whole thing has been quite the learning experience and it's made me want to improve more and more. So I'll be uploading low-res pages on here for everyone to see how I'm doing, critique would be appreciated.

Update 20-11-2018
First just a announcement that I'll be doing less fan art (Much less fan art) and concentrating more on original material. Only because I just don't want to be just another fan-artist. Not saying I'm stopping completely, just push it aside for a while. However, there is a fanart request from a TUMBLR user which I'll be completing soon enough. But at the moment the focus is the fourth chapter of Zenyaku. I want to get it done and printed up in time for the next set of cons in April next year. Then after that, drill out the the fifth chapter, which will be the last. I want to finish this book off once and for all. If I have time, I'll probably make more fan paintings just for the sake of the cons. But that's just a maybe...
Second, I'll be doing more travelling next year. I wanted to this year but certain things like work, money and life got in the way. Next year I'd like to hit Rockhampton's first ever con; Capri-con, Gold Coast's Supanova, Perth's Supanova, Sydney's SMASH, possibly Melbourne's Indie Comic-con, it's quite a stretch but I aim to get myself out there...
Third, I'm going to try with submissions for small press comic companies. I will give this a shot after April, see what happens...
And Forth, I've been kicked off TUMBLR without any explanation. I have contacted them to ask why and see if it's a mistake or what, I can't think of why my account was terminated. I'll have to look for another social platform if my appeal is shut down. Probably bite the bullet and buy an iphone so I can do instagram. Or probably do twitter...
